There are almost 400 anti-trans bills currently proposed in US legislatures around the country. We at One More Page Books stand with the trans community against these targeted attacks on their human rights. To promote the importance of trans stories and raise awareness to the rising hate in this country, One More Page Books will be joining the Trans Rights Readathon.
First proposed by @sim_bookstagrams_badly, the readathon is a decentralized fundraising effort to support trans authors. From the 20th -27th of March, we will be posting about books by trans and nonbinary authors and centering trans and nonbinary characters. For every book our staff reads during this window, we will donate $10 to the National Center for Transgender Equality-- a group that does great work on the federal level based out of DC. We encourage you to support us in our read-a-thon by matching our donations, or by joining the read-a-thon yourself using our reading recommendations below!
